CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers' regular season finale has been moved to 4:25 p.m. next Sunday, according to the NFL.
With the Panthers and Arizona Cardinals both in contention for the number one seed and home-field advantage in the playoffs, the NFL has exercised its option to move next week's home game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the late afternoon slot.
Arizona's regular season wraps up with a home date against NFC West rival Seattle, who is in the midst of a battle for the fifth seed in the NFC playoffs. An Arizona victory will give the Seahawks the number six seed and a road playoff game at the winner of the NFC North. A Seattle victory clinches home-field for the Panthers.
The NFL also flexed the Green Bay Packers' game with the Minnesota Vikings to Sunday Night Football. The winner of that contest will win the NFC North and earn the third seed in the playoffs.
The only NFC team with its playoff seed locked in is the Washington Redskins, who will finish fourth after wrapping up the NFC East Saturday against Philadelphia.
