Here's when polling places close in North Carolina and South Carolina

Voting sites opened Tuesday morning in the Carolinas. Here's when they closed in each state.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Election Day is here, and voting locations opened early across the Carolinas.

Voting sites in North Carolina opened at 6:30 a.m., and voting sites in South Carolina opened at 7 a.m. 

In North Carolina, polling places were open until 7:30 p.m. In South Carolina, polling places were open until 7 p.m.

Any voter in line at their polling place when the polling place closes were still allowed to vote.
