CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The race for 2020 is on in South Carolina.
This weekend, several Democratic presidential candidates will be stumping in South Carolina ahead of the South's first primary. Candidates who will be in the Palmetto State include Beto O'Rourke, Pete Buttigieg and Cory Booker.
"Well I think Beto is certainly going to rally new folks and some younger voters," said former North Carolina legislator Tricia Cotham.
Cotham also warned against predicting any outcomes this early in the primary. She said the demographics of the Democratic party in South Carolina make the race unpredictable and possibly a game-changer.
"I'm interested in seeing how Cory Booker and Kamala Harris do in South Carolina," Cotham said.
Cotham will appear on Flashpoint this Sunday, March 24. Flashpoint airs every Sunday morning at 11 a.m. on WCNC NBC Charlotte.
