Trump, Vance making separate campaign stops in North Carolina this week

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance will hold an event in Raleigh on Wednesday, the Trump campaign announced Friday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and vice presidential nominee JD Vance will make stops in North Carolina this week as polls show a tight race for the state's 16 pivotal electoral votes.

Trump, the former president, will hold a rally in Wilmington on Saturday, Sept. 21. The event will be at the Aero Center Wilmington at 2 p.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. People wanting to attend the rally can register for tickets here.

Trump has made at least five visits to the state since April. He canceled a previously scheduled rally in Wilmington in April due to poor weather.
