DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. — An 8-year-old North Carolina girl who was reported missing was found safe Wednesday morning, Duplin County deputies said.
The Duplin County Sheriff's Office issued an Amber Alert for the girl who was believed to be with her mother in western north Carolina on Tuesday night. Deputies said the woman and her daughter disappeared after she got into a fight with the child's father. The child's father said they left in a black SUV.
The girl was found safe on Wednesday morning, deputies said. No further details were released by the sheriff's office.
