CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The Berkeley County coroner says a body found in the Francis Marion National Forest is that of a second woman who had been missing since last weekend.
Coroner Bill Salisbury said Thursday an autopsy determined that the remains found Wednesday were those of 22-year-old June Guerry.
Guerry's body was found in the forest about 10 miles from where the body of her friend, 18-year-old Dana Woods, was found on Tuesday. The coroner said both women had been shot.
The friends are both from St. Stephen. They were last seen alive at a fast food restaurant in Moncks Corner on Sunday.
Woods' body was found in the forest near the hulk of her burned-out car.
Authorities are investigating but have made no arrests in the deaths.
