January 17, 2024 would have been Muhammad Ali's 82nd birthday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — January 17, 2024 would have been Muhammad Ali's 82nd birthday.

In honor of this, Jack Harlow and his nonprofit organization - The Jack Harlow Foundation - are matching all donations to the Muhammad Ali Center up to $10,000.

Harlow is encouraging people to make a donation to the Ali Center.

The first 82 donors to the Ali Center will receive a free individual annual membership to the Center. This will allow them to receive free year-long access to the museum, discounts at the museum store, and "exclusive access" to members-only events.

"Harlow’s commitment to the Muhammad Ali Center allows us to continue the legacy of Muhammad Ali through our award-winning museum and our impactful programs, partnerships, and events, which hand Muhammad’s torch to people young and old across the globe who want to be peacebuilders and changemakers," the Ali Center said on its website

The Ali Center provides education and community engagement to continue Ali's legacy and inspire greatness, according to its website. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the remainder of the week.

In addition, Islamic Relief USA is hosting a volunteer meal pack event to help combat hunger and feed local families in need. They hope to get 40,000 meals packed to be distributed in our community.

"Muhammad was such a giver, and giving was one of his core principals," Marilyn Jackson, president and CEO of the Ali Center, said. "Today, we're working in conjunction with Islamic Relief putting to do a major meal packing program, so we can put together meals for those in the community who need them."
