CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As temperatures begin to rise in the Queen City, here's a friendly reminder to never your pets in a hot car.
Chief meteorologist Brad Panovich said we're expected to reach our first 90-degree day on Saturday.
And that’s too hot to leave your pet in a parked car.
"Get ready. Temperatures are going to be hot, hot and hotter," said Panovich. "The real story this weekend is heat. The heat is going to crank up and the heat will be in place through next week."
And that’s too hot to leave your pet in a parked car.
The temperature inside a car can surpass 100 degrees, regardless of whether a window is cracked or the car is parked in shade.
