The North Carolina Lottery Education says two $2 Million Powerball tickets were purchased in North Carolina. Those tickets matched all 5 white balls but not the Powerball. They also had the powerplay option (x2) to double the winnings.
Lottery officials haven't released where those winning tickets were purchased.
Three tickets purchased in North Carolina also won $100,000 and 14 tickets won $50,000.
Lottery officials say there were three winners who matched all 5 white balls and the Powerball.
The winners haven't come forward yet and will have to split the jackpot worth close to $1.6 billion.
Lottery officials say those tickets were purchased in Melbourne Beach, Florida, Munford, Tennessee and in Chino Hills, California.
