CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Scammers are working nonstop to trick people into giving up their personal information. Now, experts are warning people about a new scam targeting Hulu customers.
These tips can help you avoid becoming a victim of this scam.

The scam goes like this. You get an email, supposedly from Hulu, saying your membership has expired but you can extend your membership for free, all you have to do is enter your personal information.
The real Hulu says not so fast.
But how can you spot a scam? O’Rork said to take a second to inspect an email before you do anything.
"Really pay attention to that sender, and that sender's email address," O'Rork said. "Oftentimes it won't be just@hulu.com, it will be some string of letters and numbers."
And if an email contains any links? O’Rork said you need to play offense.
"Hover over any kind of link that an email will contain so you can see where that link is actually going to take you," she said.
Keep in mind that scammers will dangle “free stuff” in front of your face, hoping you’ll bite.
"If you get an email that kind of seems almost too good to be too good to be true, you know your subscription with them isn't up and they're sending you something for free," she said.
But what if you clicked on the link already? Hulu says to update your password immediately and log out of all devices. O’Rork said you should also check your credit card report and bank information.
"If there's been any fraud on your accounts, we would definitely recommend checking out all of those things," she said.
