CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Scheduling an appointment at Atrium Health's Urgent Care just got a whole lot easier.
The healthcare organization teamed up with Amazon to allow patients to reserve a spot at any of the 31 locations in Charlotte by using Alexa.
After the Atrium Health skill is enabled on the device, you just ask the electronic personal assistant, "Alexa, open Atrium Health", to be walked through the process of setting up an appointment.
Alexa will also be able to relay wait times, hours of operation, and phone numbers.

"The use of this exciting technology is part of our commitment at Atrium Health to provide access to care in a way that is most convenient for them.”
Developing new voice skills advances the mission to provide health, hope, and healing for all, Atrium Health said.
