Charlotte native Bersin goes after Panthers roster spot again

Making the final roster as a wide receiver is going to be tough for anyone on this Panthers squad.  But Charlotte native Brenton Bersin is used to that same song and dance.  He's been dealing with it since Carolina picked him up in 2012.

Spartanburg, SC- Making the final roster as a wide receiver is going to be tough for anyone on this Panthers squad. But Charlotte native Brenton Bersin is used to that same song and dance. He's been dealing with it since Carolina picked him up in 2012.
"Competition brings out the best in everyone and we have a lot of good players," said Bersin

Bersin knows that well. As he once again battles to earn a role on that active roster. It's about having that same mindset and bringing it each and every day.
"I know it's a hard business to stay around," said Bersin. "I know I've been up and down the past few seasons but you just have to stay ready."

Last season Bersin finally got his chance to see real game action.
"I know last year I got cut after camp," said Bersin. "I think Cotchery got hurt week two and then I was starting in weeks three and four. That could happen this year."

Bersin is staying positive, knowing if he puts that work, his time will come again.
"I got to start both those games and I showed I can do it," said Bersin. "That could happen again this year."

Something working in Bersin's favor is the fact he's one of the more experienced receivers on this team. Now he just has to prove he belongs once again.
