CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There's a new professional soccer team in the Queen City.
The Charlotte Independence are a new USL soccer team. Team owners made the announcement Wednesday night at Hooligans in Uptown.
The team will kick off its first season in 2015. They'll play at Memorial Stadium, which will be renovated before the season begins.
Season tickets are already on sale here.
The team is also asking for the public's help to pick a logo. You can vote here.
