BOSTON — Grant Williams was two-time SEC Player of the Year at Tennessee, two-time Charlotte Observer player of the year at Providence Day, and now, he's a Boston Celtic.
The power forward was introduced Monday as the team's first-round pick, after being selected No. 22 overall in Thursday's NBA Draft.
"Whatever it takes for us to hang the next banner here," Williams said. "I'm a team player. Whatever Coach (Brad) Stevens needs, that's what I'll do."
For the Volunteers, Williams made most of his baskets from down low, shooting 56.4 percent in 2018-19, but did step out for more three-pointers, hitting at a 32.6 percent clip this season.
"I have a lot more to my game then people may know," said Williams.
