CONCORD, N.C. -- Cox Mill High School men's soccer defeated Central Cabarrus Tuesday 2-1. The Chargers also took over first place in the South Piedmont Conference with Jesse C Carson High School falling to Northwest Cabarrus 2-1 in an upset. With the victory, Cox Mill has now won nine consecutive games. Colin Noone and Griffin Kent scored the goals for Cox Mill against Central Cabarrus.
The Chargers will get an opportunity to maintain their lead when they host Northwest Cabarrus on September 25.
