ALBERMARLE, N.C. - Both the host Bulldogs and Davidson Day came into the new 2013 season with high hopes, but only one came out firing in our first Friday Night Frenzy game of the week. The Pats rolled over Albemarle 61-6.
It was all Davidson Day from the get go as Florida commit and senior QB Will Grier threw six touchdown passes on the night, five of those coming in the first half. Grier added a rushing score as well in the third quarter.
Davidson Day head coach Chad Grier was most pleased with the defensive effort as his squad pitched a shutout in the first half. Grier said it was the most impressive defensive performance he's ever seen from the school.
