WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Central Cabarrus boys basketball team won its second-straight 3A state championship on Friday night.
The Vikings beat Seventy-First, 90-62 in Winston-Salem.
The victory also marked Central Cabarrus' 65th-straight victory, dating back to March 2022.
Josh Dalton led the Vikings with 22 points and was named West's Most Outstanding Player. Desmond Kent Jr. was named the Charlie Adams Most Valuable Player of the game, pouring in 20 points and 9 rebounds.
Chase Daniel had 14 points, and 8 assists, while twin brother Carson Daniel had 13 points and seven assists.
