LENOIR, N.C. -- South Caldwell High School improved to 2-0 Tuesday night, as the Lady Spartans defeated West Caldwell 48-18.
Both teams' defense showed up early, as the first quarter was a low-scoring 4-2 battle. As the second quarter started, South Caldwell's offense started hitting it's groove, giving the Lady Spartans a comfy 18-6 lead at halftime.
The second half was more of the same, as South Caldwell rattled off a 30-12 scoring differential after the break. South Caldwell was led by Caleigh Raby's 16 points. Anna Lee Bollinger also found double figures with 15 in the victory. The leading West Caldwell scorer was Destiny Marley with six points.
South Caldwell returns to the court December 1 at home against Burns.
