ELON, N.C. — Christmas time is upon us and should be about taking it easy with loved ones.
For one family, that plan was, unfortunately, interrupted.
Ave Leroux, a freshman at Elon University and a player on the women's basketball team, is in the ICU after a serious car accident that happened on Friday, Dec. 22, according to the university.
The women's basketball team said Leroux "continues to make progress".
Leroux plays Forward/Center Player for her team.
