CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte will host the 2026 men's and women's national curling championships, USA Curling announced on Wednesday.
The winning teams from the event will advance to the 2026 world champions as part of Team USA. The 2026 national curling championships will run from Feb. 23 to March 2 at Bojangles Coliseum.
Curling has experienced extraordinary growth in the Carolinas in recent years and has become a popular event during the Winter Olympics.
“Enthusiasm for our sport in North Carolina is yet another example of the momentum curling has outside of its traditional areas of popularity," USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell said. "The Charlotte Curling Association and the Triangle Curling Club are welcoming, curling-specific facilities with robust participation, while Coastal Carolina Curling offers our sport the Wilmington Ice House.”
The U.S. curling national championships will feature the top eight teams from the men's and women's divisions. Teams earn berths in the event through their standing on the World Curling Team Ranking System.
Schedules and ticket information will be announced as the event gets closer, organizers said.
