CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Hornets center Al Jefferson is expected to miss the next two to three weeks with a strained calf.
Jefferson suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 87-82 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
The 30-year-old center is averaging 13.7 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game this season. Jefferson has recorded four double-double games in 17 appearances this season.
Jefferson became just the second player in the NBA this season to record at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks against Philadelphia on November 20.
