CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Hornets revealed its eye-catching court design for the 2024-25 Emirates NBA Cup at the Spectrum Center.
The court, which was crafted in collaboration with renowned artist Victor Solomon, brings a fresh and artistic take to the team's home floor, blending elements of art and sport. It features a series of three concentric circles, emanating from the center in soft gradients of teal, a signature color of the Hornets. These circles symbolize the three phases of the NBA Cup: Group Play, the Quarterfinals, and the culminating Semifinals and Championship, set to take place in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.
The court also prominently displays the NBA Cup trophy at center court and in each lane. Along the sidelines, the energizing slogan, “The Hive Is Alive,” is emblazoned.
The Hornets’ special court will first see action on Nov. 29, when the Hornets host the New York Knicks in its first home Group Play game. This will be followed by another home contest on Dec. 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team’s road games for Group Play will take place at Orlando on Nov. 12 and at Brooklyn on Nov.19.
Charlotte finds itself in East Group A, where it will compete to advance to the NBA Cup Knockout Rounds. The top eight teams will progress to a single-elimination format, with the Quarterfinals held in NBA markets, followed by the Semifinals and Championship in Las Vegas.
As the excitement builds for the NBA Cup, Charlotte will first open its 2024-25 home schedule on Saturday against the Miami Heat, marking the beginning of what promises to be an action-packed season.
