CLEVELAND — Darius Garland scored 25 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Charlotte Hornets to remain undefeated through the team's first 15 games.
The Hornets (5-8) pulled within three points in the fourth quarter after trailing by as much as 16 points but a weak 15-point fourth quarter left Charlotte behind 128-114 at the final buzzer.
The Cavs (15-0) gave the Hornets several chances to close the gap but Charlotte missed all 10 3-point attempts in the fourth quarter.
Garland led Cleveland with 25 points. Three Cavaliers players had double-doubles -- Garland with his 25 points and 12 assists, Jarrett Allen with 21 points and 15 rebounds, and Evan Mobley with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
LaMelo Ball led the Hornets with 31 points and 12 assists. All five Hornets starters scored double digits.
Cleveland, the NBA's highest-scoring team, took a commanding 72-59 lead at halftime.
The Hornets pushed back with a 40-point third quarter to trail by just three points to start the final period. Bridges scored 14 of his 19 points in the third quarter.
Cleveland's 15-0 start is tied for the second-best in NBA history. Only Golden State's 24-0 start in 2015 is better than the Cavs' current mark.
The loss pushes Charlotte to the bottom of a three-way tie for ninth in the Eastern Conference.
The Hornets next face the Brooklyn Nets (5-8) in an NBA Cup matchup on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
