CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Johnson C. Smith men's basketball coach Stephen Joyner Sr. reached a big milestone on Saturday.
The Golden Bulls defeated Claflin, 80-74 at Brayboy Gymnasium, giving Joyner his 600th victory as head coach.
All of the wins have come with Joyner at the helm of JCSU.
Joyner, who served as the school's athletics director for decades, is in his 36th season as Golden Bulls head coach.
He was the team's star point guard from 1969-1973.
JCSU will next play in the CIAA Tournament in Baltimore, which begins Feb. 26.
