CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Baltimore Ravens top two assistants interviewed for Carolina's head coaching vacancy on Wednesday, the team announced.
The Panthers conducted virtual interviews with Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken and defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald.
Coaches currently employed by teams on a playoff bye week can speak to teams about vacancies.
No in-person interviews can be done with coaches employed by other league teams until Jan. 22.
Carolina has also completed virtual interviews with its defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and interim head coach Chris Tabor.
Monken, 57, has helped Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to a strong season, and Baltimore has the fourth-highest scoring offense in the NFL, posting 28.4 points per game.
In his first season as Ravens defensive coordinator, Macdonald, 36, has helped the team allow the fewest points per game in the NFL (16.5).

Ejiro Evero, Panthers DC
