TAMPA, Florida — Frustrations continue for Carolina after the Panthers star linebacker Brian Burns was disqualified from the team's game at Tampa Bay on Sunday afternoon.
After an extra point attempt, Burns was shown on replay hitting a member of the Buccaneers in the head with an open hand.
The Panthers took a brief lead, 10-7, late in the third quarter. But on the Buccaneers first play from scrimmage, Baker Mayfield threw a strike to Mike Evans for a 74-yeard touchdown to Tampa the lead right back.
Carolina was playing its first game since firing head coach Frank Reich after a 10-1 start to the season.
