CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- For the second time in a week, a billionaire visitor paid a visit to the Queen City.

South Carolina businessman Ben Navarro toured Bank of America Stadium on Monday. Navarro is among the several serious bidders who have shown interest in buying the Panthers.

Last week, steel company CEO Alan Kestenbaum made the rounds in uptown Charlotte. David Tepper, a hedge fund manager who owns a small percentage of the Pittsburgh Steelers is expected to do the same very soon, according to reports.

The sale continues to heat up as the NFL hopes to approve a new owner by next month. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he is pleased with the progress.

"It's moving along at unprecedented interest," Goodell said. "And we're excited by that."

Three-fourth, or at least 24 of 32, NFL team owners would need to approve any potential Panthers owner. The league expects the vote to take place in its May meetings in Atlanta.

Bloomberg estimates the team could sell for up to $2.5 billion.
