CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ready for some totally bananas news?
The Savannah Bananas are coming to Charlotte in 2025.
In an announcement Thursday evening, the team announced Banana Ball would be coming to the Queen City as part of its 2025 World Tour on June 7. The game will be at Bank of America Stadium, one of only three football stadiums picked for the tour.
“We are beyond excited to bring Banana Ball to Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC. We've had tremendous support from all of North Carolina, but this is our first time in Charlotte so we know the Queen City is going to be rocking! We feel this is the perfect stadium as we expand into football stadiums, with every seat being on top of the action. It's going to be loud and we can't wait to put on a show!” said Jesse Cole, owner of the Savannah Bananas.
The Bananas' stop in Charlotte comes as part of a continued partnership with Tepper Sports & Entertainment and the Charlotte Sports Foundation.
“Together with the Charlotte Sports Foundation, we are dedicated to bringing top-tier entertainment to the Carolinas by hosting a dynamic range of events that offer fresh and exciting experiences,” said Caroline Wright, chief venues officer of TSE. “Our team is ready to transform Bank of America Stadium into a baseball field for the first time in its history so we can give the Savannah Bananas and their fans a warm Carolinas-style welcome.”

While the Savannah Bananas haven't played in Charlotte yet, they did make an appearance in Kannapolis in 2023.
The announcement for 2025 comes after the Bananas visited six Major League Baseball stadiums in 2024, selling out games in under 24 hours.
Fans are able to join the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery online now. Details about how Bank of America Stadium will be transformed to accommodate the baseball game will be shared closer to the game's date.
