Single goal helps Charlotte FC defend home pitch against Nashville SC

The black and blue scored the only goal of the night after halftime.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The scoring at Bank of America Stadium didn't get started early at all Saturday. But fortunately for Charlotte FC, the only goal of the night went to them, securing a win against Nashville SC.

The only major event that happened in the first half was a yellow card against Nashville midfielder Tyler Boyd, 22 minutes in. It wasn't long after halftime, however, when Charlotte found the net.

Patrick Agyemang struck the ball in with an assist from Kerwin Vargas at the 52-minute mark. The rest of the match mainly saw substitutions for both benches and more yellow cards, mostly for Nashville.

Time ticked on, and Nashville didn't have an answer to Charlotte's goal. After 90 minutes of regulation play and seven more of stoppage time, Charlotte FC left the pitch with another win in the record and three more MLS standing points.
