Here are the top Google searches in Charlotte from 2023

Soccer fans were active online this year in the Queen City.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As the year comes to an end, Google has released its top trending searches for areas across the world, including in Charlotte. Some of the searches may be surprising.

As people were looking for things to do around the Queen City, the top "near me" search locally this year was for "pawn shops near me." That was closely followed by the search "farmers market near me."

For those who wanted to stay indoors, the top searched TV show for the city was for HBO's "The Last of Us." This topped "The Night Agent" and "The Golden Bachelor."

Soccer fans were active online this year, too.

The Queen City was the only place in the whole country with the "Honduras vs. Haiti" match as a top trending search.

Finally, music fans just couldn't get enough this year. Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Drake were the top artists searched -- Beyoncé and Drake both made tops in Charlotte on their 2023 tours.
