After the collision, police said the Jeep continued off the side of the toad and struck a tree.

The front-seat passenger of the Honda, who died at the hospital, has been identified as 49-year-old Rosalina Santos.

CMPD says detectives believe excessive speed and impairment by the driver of the Jeep were contributing factors. The driver of the Honda was ruled not to have been impaired.
