CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is expanding some of its bus schedules to ensure riders stay on time.
CATS announced that starting Monday, Route 57 - Archdale will add later weeknight service and a Sunday route. In addition, CATS will shorten Route 57 to Forest Point Boulevard and Arrowood Road. This change means service to the Forest Point business park will be discontinued.
Route 235 is getting a new name and more service. Now known as the West Charlotte Connector, Route 235 will add later weeknight and Saturday service, as well as a new Sunday option.
CATS is making several other changes to Route 235 to keep buses on time. CATS buses will run on the route every 50 minutes seven days a week and will connect riders to the Valerie Woodard Center, Phillip O. Berry Academy, Ashley Road, the Wilkinson Boulevard Walmart and CPCC Harris campus.
The agency will discontinue service to the Goodwill campus, the West Boulevard library and along Seymour Drive and Scott Futrell Drive.
Numerous other routes will see new schedules, including routes 1, 2, 5, 13, 14, 16, 17, 27 and 34. Additional details can be found at this link or in the CATS app.
