CATS providing free fare on Election Day

The initiative by CATS aims to provide easier access to polling locations, the transit system said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) announced Friday that all bus route, LYNX Blue Line, CityLYNX Gold Line and paratransit services will be fare-free on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The initiative by CATS aims to provide easier access to polling locations, the transit system said.

For questions or concerns, community members can speak to CATS Customer Service at 704-336-7433 (RIDE).

To find your polling location in North Carolina, the North Carolina State Board of Elections has a polling place search database.
