CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is hurt after a collision involving a pedestrian Friday morning, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Police said it happened at the intersection of Sunset Road and Statesville Road -- where Sunset Road becomes old Statesville Road. Mecklenburg EMS said one person was taken to an area hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
People were asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes while the investigation is underway. The intersection has since reopened.
