CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is set to begin construction on Monday at one of Uptown Charlotte's busiest transit stops. It could impact commutes for many people this week.
CATS said the bay shelter outside the Charlotte Transportation Center is coming down, and fifteen express routes that normally stop there will temporarily pick up riders under the nearby bridge.
The demolition will close both the sidewalk and the traffic lane next to the shelter.
Riders can use the CATS-Pass app to find alternate stops through Friday.
