4 hurt in I-485 crash near Mint Hill

The crash caused a closure of the inner loop lanes which travel toward south Charlotte.

MINT HILL, N.C. — A crash Thursday morning near Mint Hill injured at least four people, according to Medic.

The crash occurred in the inner loop lanes of Interstate 485 approaching Lawyers Road. 

Two people had serious injuries and two others suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to Medic.

The crash caused a temporary closure of the inner loop lanes, which carry traffic in eastern Mecklenburg County southward from the Concord area to the Matthews and Ballantyne area.

Drivers could use Matthews Mint Hill Road, also known as North Carolina State Road 51, to bypass the crash.
