CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Five people were hurt in a crash on Interstate 485 at Lawyers Road in Mint Hill on Friday morning, Medic said.
The crash happened on the outer loop of I-485 near mile-marker 47 and Lawyers Road around 8:30 a.m. The crash caused traffic delays on the inner and outer loops while crews responded to the scene.
Medic confirmed that three people were taken to the hospital for treatment while two others were evaluated at the scene by EMTs.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol hasn't released any further details about the crash at this time. Drivers should avoid I-485 until the backups and congestion are cleared from the area.
