Man dies in Caldwell County car crash, troopers say

NC Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 10 a.m.

LENOIR, N.C. — A man is dead after a car accident on Caldwell County's Beecher Anderson Road at Ted Seehorn Drive, according to NC State Highway Patrol.

A trooper said patrol units responded to the fatal crash at 10 a.m. Tuesday. A 1999 Ford F-50 traveling on Beecher Anderson Road failed to reduce speed correctly, leading to him colliding with a 2004 Chevrolet truck stopped in the northbound lane waiting to turn left.

Jeremy Allan Wilson, 45, was the driver of the Ford. He died at the scene. Two passengers in his car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Timothy Kaleb Owens, 35, was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After further investigation, impairment was not a factor in the crash. No charges will be filed.
