CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was killed in a crash at a busy south Charlotte intersection Wednesday morning, Medic confirmed.
The crash happened at the intersection of Sardis Road and Providence Road around 6 a.m. Medic confirmed one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was taken to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible as the crash is causing delays up to an hour while crews work to clear the scene and investigate the wreck. Crews were working to clear a fluid spill from the truck at the scene.
It's unclear if any charges will be filed in connection with this crash.
