CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead after a crash in southwest Charlotte, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. on Archdale Drive, near High Meadows Lane and not far from the Interstate 77 North on-ramp, officers said.
CMPD said Archdale Drive between High Meadows Lane and Fernhill Drive is closed as a result of the crash and drivers should avoid the area at this time.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known, though police said indicated it was a single-vehicle crash.
