CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A portion of Interstate 277, also known as the Brookshire Freeway, was closed Tuesday afternoon near Uptown Charlotte and NoDa after a truck spilled some of its cargo.
As crews worked to clear the debris, all lanes of the westbound, outer loop were closed for more than an hour.
Medic, who responded to the crash, said no one was injured.
In a photo provided to WCNC Charlotte by the city of Charlotte, which features arrows drawn onto the image by the city, the truck can be seen stopped in the roadway.
It was not known publicly why the truck spilled its cargo.
Delays impacted traffic in both directions of I-277 on the north side of Uptown Charlotte. Drivers were advised to use the southern side of the loop near Bank of America Stadium and Charlotte's South End neighborhood.
All lanes were reopened ahead of the Tuesday evening rush hour.
