Crash closes Brookshire Blvd

Medic said 10 people were injured. Of the 10 injured, Medic said two people had serious injuries and eight people had injuries considered minor.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The inbound lanes of Brookshire Boulevard were closed due to a serious crash. The lanes headed into Charlotte were closed at Idaho Drive, which is located just south of Interstate 85.

Multiple Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Medic units were on-scene tending to the injured. Medic said 10 people were injured. Of the 10 injured, Medic said two people had serious injuries and eight people had injuries considered minor.

The Charlotte Department of Transportation provided an image of the crash from an adjacent traffic camera. Their imagery contains an arrow showing one of the vehicles involved in the crash may be a passenger van.

Drivers can use Rozzelles Ferry Road, Beatties Ford Road or Interstate 77 as alternate routes.

The outbound lanes were reportedly still open but delays were expected while emergency crews worked to clear the crash.
