CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two crashes caused significant delays on the Outer Loop of Interstate 485 near the interchange with Interstate 85 in west Charlotte on Friday morning.
The first crash happened around 6:30 a.m. near the exit for Moores Chapel Road. According to NCDOT, the two left lanes were closed near Exit 10. The lanes reopened around 8:30 a.m.
One person was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries from the crash and another person has minor injuries, according to Medic.
An image shared by NCDOT showed multiple fire trucks on the scene. It's unclear if anyone was injured. WCNC Charlotte has reached out to Medic for more information.
