HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash on Interstate 77 northbound near Huntersville.
The crash involved a tractor-trailer truck and a minivan.
At least one person suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to Medic.
At the height of the closure, at least two lanes were closed in the general purpose lanes, and at least one lane was closed in the express lanes, near Hambright Road in Huntersville.
The Huntersville Fire Department, North Carolina State Highway Patrol and other emergency first responders responded to the crash.
Northbound delays stretched back to at least the interchange with Interstate 485 near Northlake Mall.
Drivers should expect delays and could consider using US 21 as an alternate route.
