CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two lanes of Interstate 77 were blocked due to a crash near Uptown Charlotte late Monday morning.
The two left lanes of northbound I-77 were closed near Exit 10 for West Trade Street.
While authorities worked to clear the crash, just one lane was fully open with traffic being backed up several miles on I-77.
The road reopened by Noon but delays remained, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. WCNC Charlotte has reached out to Medic for any details on injuries related to this crash. State troopers have not said what caused the crash.
Drivers traveling north on I-77 can use I-485 to I-85 as an alternate route in order to detour around the delays.
