Interstate 77 reopens after crash near Arrowood Road

A crash with possible injuries had closed the lanes of I-77 northbound just north of the state line and I-485.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — All lanes of Interstate 77 northbound near Arrowood Road in south Charlotte have reopened after a crash.

Medic said they assessed 5 patients for potential injuries from the crash, which occurred shortly before 6 p.m.

Drivers traveling north into Charlotte from South Carolina were advised to use I-485 and Tryon Street to detour around the crash, which had traffic backed up into South Carolina. 

The on-ramp from I-485 to Interstate 77 remained open. Southbound lanes remained open but congested during the crash investigation.
