BELMONT, N.C. — All lanes of Interstate 85 in Gaston County have reopened after a car fire near Belmont, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Heading southbound from Charlotte, delays stretch back to the I-485 interchange. Heading northbound, delays stretch back through McAdvenville and toward Gastonia.
The roadway was fully reopened later in the evening.
