CONCORD, N.C. — All lanes of I-85 southbound have reopened after a crash happened near Davidson Hwy in Cabarrus County, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. on I-85 southbound at mile marker 55 near Davidson Hwy. The impact of the crash was high.
The road was closed or partly closed for several hours on Tuesday during rush hour.
Officials urged motorists to avoid the area or use a detour.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are unknown at this time.
