CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A crash on Interstate 85 southbound Wednesday morning led to three of four lanes being closed, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The lanes reopened around 6:30 a.m.
NCDOT confirmed it happened around Mile Marker 45 on I-85 south, near W.T. Harris Boulevard. One person had serious injuries, according to Medic.
The crash happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. The three left lanes near Exit 45 for W.T. Harris Boulevard were expected to remain closed until close to 7:30 a.m., but reopened about an hour earlier than expected.
