Person killed in crash involving motorcycle near Rock Hill, troopers say

The crash happened about 2 miles west of Rock Hill. It's unclear if anyone will be charged.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — One person was killed after a head-on crash involving a motorcycle in York County on Wednesday, South Carolina Highway Patrol said. 

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. about 2 miles west of Rock Hill on Paraham Road. Troopers said a 2004 Harley-Davidson traveling along Paraham Road when a Honda SUV on Windy Run Lane hit the motorcycle. Two people on the motorcycle were taken to Piedmont Medical Center, where the passenger died from their injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. It's unclear if any charges will be filed. South Carolina Highway Patrol hasn't released any further information at this time.
